20-year-old Yahaya Ibrahim has been paraded by the Niger State Police Command on Friday, September 18 for armed robbery.
Ibrahim was paraded alongside three other suspected criminals that committed crimes like fraud and armed robbery.
The Spokesman for the Command, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, has confirmed the arrest revealed that the Ibrahim was arrested on around 10:00 pm on September 8.
He said that a distress call was earlier put through to the police operatives attached to ‘B’ division Bida and they swing into action immediately and this led to his arrest atFederal Polytechnic road, Bida.
Abiodun added that the suspect who is from Doko, Lavun local government possesed a locally made revolvers.
“The suspect robbed a shop attendant at a Shopping Complex along Federal Polytechnic road, Bida with the said revolver pistol and in an attempt to escape from the scene; he was arrested by the Police. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and the locally made revolver pistol was recovered. Case under investigation, suspect will soon be arraigned in court for prosecution,” The SP said.
