Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has showered praises on the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Yul has described Kanu as a hero who is grossly misunderstood, he also described him as a great man while praying that he lives long as ‘Chukwu’- meaning God in the Igbo language will be with him.
This is coming few hours after Kanu issues a 14-day ultimatum to the South-east governors for them to ban all forms of open grazing in the region according to the 1969 Anti-grazing law of the Nigerian constitution. Kanu had warned that if the governors do not heed to his words, the Eastern Security Network will step in and enforce the law.
It appears Yul is reacting to the ultimatum as he took to his Instagram page on Friday, January 29 to celebrate Kanu. He also wished that the whole of Africa can take serious decisions to that will bring about a peaceful continent.
“Today is not his birthday but I choose to celebrate this great man today. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
A Hero who is grossly misunderstood. But all he truly wants is for Africans to wake up and take serious decisions that will bring lasting peace in Africa. Live long great man. May Chukwu Okike Abiama be with you always.”
Meanwhile, IG followers have commented on the post, many of them who are mostly Igbos have also showered praises on Kanu.
