Adamu Garba Responds To Allegations That He Filed A Suit To Stop The Use of Twitter In Nigeria, Says It Was Filed Since October.

Former Presidential candidate, Adamu Garba has responded to the allegations that he filed a suit for the banning of Twitter from Nigeria’s social media space.

According to him, the news is misguided as it is just trending now even thought it was part of the many lines associated with the suit he filed against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on October 22.

This is coming after Naija Or on Twitter tweeted that Garba filed a suit seeking to ‘compel the National Communication Commission’ on Sunday, November 7.

The tweet reads;

“The former Presidential aspirant of the APC, Adamu Garba filed a suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1391/2020 seeking to compel the Nigerian Communications Commission [NCC] to stop the operation of Twitter in Nigeria cyberspace.”

Garba replied;

“Misguided News! This was one of the many lines associated with the suit filed since October 22nd most of you know of.

“The handle @Naija_PR just want to be around the news circle. If that brings them more fame and more money, that’ll be a good thing for Nigeria and for me too.”

Meanwhile, Nigerians have responded the news most of which have reinstated that Garba is just trying to look for a way to push his new app ‘Crowwe’. Some of them have even said that they have no worries as they would move to Facebook if Twitter is banned.
