Audio: Nigerian Actor Clem Ohameze Finally Speaks To BBC After He Was Attacked & Robbed By Hoodlums Amidst Ongoing #EndSarProtest

Recall that we earlier reported on Nigerian actor, Clem Ohameze, being attacked by hoodlums in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria to be precise. A Twitter user identified as as simply_kemkem took to the microblogging platform and shared pictures of the actual incident and guess what, social media commentators joined forces to sympathize with the legendary actor.

According to simply_kemkem, the actors phones and money were taken away from him by these hoodlums in the post she shared on twitter. This is what she had to say;

‘Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze was attacked in Uyo on Thursday by hoodlums. They injured him, took his money and phones.” 

Well, after the news of his attack went viral, he finally got the chance to really explain what happened to him during the attack. In an interview with BBC Igbo, Clem Ohameze disclosed that he was recognized by these hoodlums and guess what, the approached him and decided to not torture him.

This is what he had to say in the interview; “It happened on Thursday in Uyo. The protesters, I ran into them. On recognizing me they didn’t just want to bother. They took everything away from me.

He further continued; “They took 650, 000 Naira from me, all my phones, destroyed my car, slashed my hand with a machete. I did a police report when this happened. I was on Abak Road in Uyo. I went to work on a movie set of my own”.
