The government of Ghana has urged security agencies to enforce strict measures on persons who fail to observe the COVID-19 safety protocols. This is coming after a the recent increase in the country’s coronavirus cases.

Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah who doubles as the Informartion Minister, at a brief press on Monday, November 09, 2020, emphasized on Nana Akufo-Addo’s concern regarding the persons who are not practicing the safety protocols. This is what he had to say;

“The number of new cases being recorded is literally doubled. The President in his last address stated that the recent hike is grossly as a result of non-compliance with the preventive protocol of wearing the masks.”

Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah blamed the new increase in the cases on the failure of some citizens who do not comply with the safety protocols. He used the opportunity to urge security agencies to enforce strict compliance to the protocols so as to combat the virus. He also urged management of various institutions, placing emphasis on those in enclosed areas to ensure compliance with all safety protocols, especially with the wearing of the nose mask.
