BIOGRAPHY OF ERICA NLEWEDIM: All you need to know about the BBNaija star.

Erica Nlewedim was born as Ngozi Ugonma Erica Nlewedim to Mr Eric NlewedIm and Oby Nwokolo on March 13, 1994 in Lagos. She originates from Umuahia, Abia State.

She was however, raised by her mum as her father allegedly abandoned her as a baby. She is also the only child of her mom and it is not known if she has any step-siblings.

As a teenager, Erica attended Victory Grammar School and Command Secondary School, both in Lagos State. She obtained her university degree in Business Administration from Covenant University, Ota.

Being a lover of the theatre, Erica enrolled and was admitted to study Acting for Film at the Met Film School, London, in 2019.


Erica is a model, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist and a reality television show star.

Although the exact year Erica became a model is unknown, she was signed as a brand ambassador for Nature’s Gentle Gentle Touch in 2013.

In 2014, she participated in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) pageant, although she didn’t win, she earned MBGN Miss Photogenic award.

Her participation in the pageantry contributed massively in bring her to the limelight. She featured in a Peak Milk television advert alongside, Nigerian musician Falz.

As a model, Erica has worked with several brands such as Access Bank, Maltina, Glo, MyZotoApp Jumia, and Zaron Cosmetics.

In 2015, Erica’s acting career was set in motion as she got a lead role in a movie called Secrets and Scandals. She has featured in other television series such as; Being Farouk, Royal Castles, My Flatmates and The Paternity Deal, Dead Rites, Fractured, Made in heaven, Win or Lose and many others.  She also acted in Poka Messiah and Hire A Woman.

In 2018, she founded the Erica Nlewedim Foundation, a non-governmental organisation with the mission of catering for underprivileged children. The foundation gives donations to orphanage homes.

In 2019, the foundation launched a campaign tagged, ‘Hunger Heroes Campaign’ with a target to fed 1000 less privileged person in Lagos, Nigeria.

She is also the Chief Executive Officer of her own hair brand, Beluxia Hair.

The beauty also worked as a marketing manager at a oil and gas company known as MEI Oil and Gas company.

She was also an influencer for travel agency known as Travel Beta. Erica has been to several countries such as; London, Dubai, Greece, Spain, France and The Netherlands.


Erica’s net worth is estimated between $30,000 to $90,000.

It is unknown as to whether Erica owns her own house at the moment. Upon her disqualification from the Big Brother Niaja2020 house she was promised a Mercedes-Benz by Nigerian car dealer.

Erica is not married and she has no kids. It is not known if she is in a relationship, although she had a thing with Kiddwaya, who was a fellow BBNaija2020 housemate.
