Laycon was born on the 8th of November 1993 as Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe into the Agbeleshe Family of Bajuwen, Odeda in Ogun State. He was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.

Laycon was born by parents both of the AC genotype which makes his a Sickle Cell Anaemia carrier.

Although the number of siblings he has is not known, his father, who was a policeman passed away in 2017.

However, Laycon’s mother is still alive and kicking.

The basic and secondary school(s) Laycon attended is still unknown. For his university education, he went to the University of Lagos to study Philosophy between 2012 and 2016.He graduated with a second class upper degree.


Student Internship

In 2015, as an undergraduate Laycon interned at Latjum Global Nigeria Limited as a person assistant to the CEO.

Shortly after graduation, he worked as a sales and business development official for Bestman Games, Ikoyi in Lagos. He then moved to the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy where he was the personal assistant to the assistant director of welfare in administration and human resources .

Music Carreer

Laycon was always a lover of music and entertainment right from when he was a little boy, as he started hitting down raps whenever he got the inspiration.

He specializes in afro beats, hip hop, and rap genres.

In 2014, he performed in the Coke Studio University of Lagos event. In 2017 he participated in the MTV Base LSB challenge of which he was part of the top ten finalists. In 2019, he got his first record deal as he was signed into the Fierce Nation record label. Shortly after, in February that same yera, he released the track ‘firece’ featuring Reminisce and Chinko Ekun. Laycon also released ‘Who is Laycon’ and in August 2020 he released “Senseless”. He also released ‘Laycon come with me’ in October 2020.

Reality TV Show

On the 19th of July, 2020 Laycon was admitted as one of the contestants for the reality television show, Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ Edition.

Whilst he was in the house he won the hearts of many and this culminated into votes.

On September, 27 Laycon was crowned the winner of the edition after gathering a whopping 60% of the total votes casted.


Although the total net worth of the super star is not known, Laycon walked away with the 30 million BBNaija cash priceand about 5 million naira he won while he was in the house.


As on of the many prizes he won when he emerged as the winner of the reality TV show, Laycon owns an Innoson IVM G40 SUV worth 25million naira.


Laycon was gifted a two-bedroom apartment located at Chevron Drive in Lekki, Lagos State by the real estate company, Revolution Plus.


The relationship status of the the president of Icons is not known but he confirmed that he was in a relationship before he entered the house but now he is only focused on his career.
