Not less than six people have been kidnapped after gunmen stormed Karaji suburb in Kaduna State.

Among the victims of the incident, which took place less than 10 kilometres to the Government House, are five daughters of Pastor Istifanus Tiswan of the Christ Embassy Church.

SOKAPU’s National Public Relations Officer, Mr Luka Binniyat, gave the name of the pastor as Istifanus Tiswan and identified the daughters as Faith, Godsgift, Ruth, Damaris and Michelle.

He said the gunmen also kidnapped another victim, one Haruna Barde, who had escaped violence from his native village to take refuge in Karji as an internally displaced person.

Binniyat, in a statement titled, ‘Five daughters of one pastor kidnapped in Kaduna – SOKAPU,’ said “On November 7, 2020, in brazen impunity, armed men invaded Karji suburb of Kaduna, less than 10km from Government House, Kaduna, and kidnapped seven persons, five of them the daughters of Pastor Istifanus Tiswan of Christ Embassy Church.”
