Nigerian top politician, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the burning of a house belonging to Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemi a.k.a Sunday Igboho.
Recall that we earlier reported that Igboho confirmed that suspected arsonist burnt down his house in Soka, Ibadan on Tuesday morning, January 26. This is coming days after he and his supporters stormed Igangan community, Ibarapa Oyo State to chase out the Fulani herdsmen.
FFK has condemned the arson and has said that this action simply shows that those against Igboho are cowards and they’re running scared. According to him, they need to stop their madness before it escalates to bloodshed and more carnage.
In a tweet put out via his official Twitter account, FFK said war and conflict are best avoided, he also prayed that those responsible for the arson do not get what they are looking for.
“Burning Igboho’s house at 3.00a.m. in the morning only proves that you are nothing but cowards & that you are running scared. I pray you do not get what you are looking for. War, conflict, bloodshed & carnage are best avoided. Let your madness stop here before it is too late.”
