Chelsea’s Number 1 Goalkeeper ‘Edouard Mendy’ Becomes The First African Goalkeeper To Win The Champions League

Chelsea’s number 1 goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy has become the very first African goalkeeper to win a Champions League title after crushing Manchester City 1 – 0 on Saturday night.

Edouard Mendy also happens to be the first African goalkeeper to play in the final since Bruce Grobbelaar in 1985.

As indicated by records, Zimbabwe’s Bruce Grobbelaar won the titles during the European Cup time in 1984 with Liverpool.
