COVID-19 changes face of the economy – Dr Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has said the current changes in the economy is due to the covid- 19 pandemic.

Addressing Ghanaians at the National TESCON Training and Orientation Conference organized by the National Youth Wing of the NPP at the Pentecost Conference Center at Millennium city Kasoa in the central region.

Following the introduction of the Electronic Levy by Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta in November last year, Ghanaians called on the vice – president to share his on government’s initiative.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Bawumia said the economy is witnessing rising prices of fuel and virtually all commodities like bread,sugar, sachet water etc. From Malata market through Abofuor market to Techiman market, to Takoradi market circle, to Kpando and almost everywhere across the country.

He added that the pandemic has unfortunately changed the economic circumstances of every country in the world.
