The nationwide tally of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria has increased overnight by four as 12 people in total are now confirmed infected. All four new cases are in Lagos state, which has seen the highest number of infections.
The Lagos State Health Commissioner announced the new cases in a press conference Thursday morning. Nigeria’s total number of cases has risen exponentially in the past couple of days after initially only confirming 3 cases.
In the past few days, five new cases were reported followed by these four new cases, a huge rise which does not bode well for the future of managing the disease.
