Lawyer for the two Rastafarian students who took Achimota School to court for being denied admission because of their hair has disclosed that they will return to school next week.
The lawyer, Ras Tetteh says the student will go to the school to proceed with their registration so they can be enrolled.
He made this comment after the Accra High court’s Human Rights division ordered the prestigious Achimota school to admit the students after it ruled in their favour on Monday 31st May 2021.
Justice Gifty Agyei Addo ruled in favour of Tyron Iras and Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea because it found that the laws in question could not stop the two Rastafarians’ human rights.
The lawyer further said that the school will be sued for contempt if it insists on denying the students admission into the School.
