Donald Trump To Ban TikTok From The US Today – See Why

Donald Trump over some days has has disclosed that he has plans of placing a ban on TikTok app in the United States of America through an executive authority today and this is what he has to say in regards to that; “As far as TikTok is concerned, we’re banning them from the United States”.

Donald Trump disclosed that he is going to sign something today August 1 and could be used as emergency economic powers or an executive order and this is what he had to say about that; “Well, i have that authority”.
The President called the decison “severance” and he firmly declined the reported deal regarding Microsoft buying TikTok.

The TikTok which allows its users to film and share short videos of themselves is actually owned by a Chinese company called ByteDance.

The US have raised security concerns over TikTok’s handling of user data, accusing the app of being a threat to national security all because of its origination being China. The US also alleged that the ByteDance company could be forced to “support and cooperate with intelligence work controlled by the Chinese Communist Party”.

This is what TikTok’s spokeperson told ABC News regarding Donald Trumps threats; “These are the facts: 100 million Americans come to TikTok for entertainment and connection, especially during the pandemic.

He further stated; “We’ve hired nearly 1,000 people to our US team this year alone, and are proud to be hiring another 10,000 employees into great jobs cross the US. Our $1 billion creator fund supports US creators who are building livelihoods from our platform”.

Reports currently has it that TikTok has approximately about 65 to 80 million users just in the United states.
