Florida legislature approves end of Disney’s special status

The Florida legislature has given final passage to a pair of bills aimed at Disney,weeks into the company’s feud with GOP governor Ron DeSantis over it’s objections to a new law that limits certain classroom discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity.

One of the measures would eliminate the unique status that allows Disney to operate as an independent government around it’s Orlando area theme parks.

The bill now head to DeSantis’ desk.
