Ghana Premier League Players Will Be Paid GHC1,500 Under The NDC – Says Sammy Gyamfi

NDC’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has disclosed that our local league players who play in the Ghana Premier League will definitely enjoy GHC1,500 should the NDC win the elections come December 2020.

Our local players in the Ghana Premier League have for some years now been calling for a better conditions with regards to their salaries in order to prevent them from leaving the country for overseas just to search for better opportunities out there.

The NDC in their manifesto which was released some few days ago has it that they will come and address that issue by setting up a sports fund which will intend support several sporting activities in the country.“The NDC will establish a sports development fund. This is what he had to say during an interview on Kumasi FM; ” The NDC will definitely establish a sports development fund. The government will furnish the account with enough money and also generate some from corporate bodies”.

He further stated that “every club that plays in the GPL will be supported with funds to pay player salaries and that will be an average of 1,500 which will be paid to each player. Every club that qualifies to play in the CAF inter club competition will equally be supported. The inter-colleges games will also get their share of this fund”.
