President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that the 2020 elections will not affect the peace of the country.
He stated that even though the political serene was going to get “hotter and hotter”, that would in no way distract the country’s peace into confusion.
He said while he was addressing Ghanaians living abroad at a dinner organized in his honour.
“As you can imagine, from now on as the elections beckon, the atmosphere is going to get hotter and hotter and more and more things are going to be said,”he stated.
He also mentioned that upon all the negative pictures posted on social media about threat of the country’s peace, the country is still peaceful.
“We haven’t broken down, the country is still in one piece,” he added.
