Just In:GHS 147 Million Cash Burnt-CEO of GRA Reveals After Fire Broke Out At The office

Fire broke out at the Ghana Revenue Authority on Sunday morning, December 1 2019 and four Ghana fire service personnel got injured in their bid to quench the fire.

As part of the damages incurred after the fire broke out, the CEO of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Mr. Frimpong Addai has revealed that Ghs 147 million got burnt.

According to him, such an amount of money was in the building because it couldn’t get to the bank due to some accounting issues but was supposed to be delivered on Monday.

He assured the public that most of their documents are safe with the exception of the money and few items that got burnt.
