Hawa Koomson Finally Apologizes For The Shooting Incident In Kasoa

Member of Parliament and Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture designate, Madam Hawa Koomson has finally apologized for the recent Kasoa shooting incident.

During the vetting of the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, on 18th Febraury 2021, she stated that she has regretted firing the gun and wished she never did it. The MP further pleaded with the vetting Committee not to make any comment about it as the matter is still being investigated.

“Regrettably it was an unfortunate incident and I wish it never happened and I pray it never happens again in the history of our politics in Ghana. I also apologise for those who were scared but it was in defence because I felt my life is in danger,” she stated.

Recall that during the 2020 voter registration exercise the MP fired a gun shot and she defended it with claims that she fett her life was under danger.
