I Was Always Seen As Ugly Because Of My Kind of Skin and Hair Growing Up-Miss Universe Shares Emotional Story

Zozibini Tunzi, miss Universe 2019, who is a South African by Nationality has shared a very sad and emotional story after she won this years’ Miss Universe competition.

Sharing her story, the newly crowned miss Universe said that she grew up in a world where a woman who had her kind of skin and hair was always not regarded as beautiful.

She is a very slender woman and perhaps that might be the main reason for she not being recognised as beautiful because in Africa, a woman’s beauty is measured by her weight (how thick or fat she is). Obviously, she being slender will never get her to be seen among beautiful maidens in South Africa.

She called on all societies to put an end to what she went through as a woman, growing up.

Zozibini emerged winner out of 90 women from across the world that took part in the paegentry that was held in Atlanta USA on Sunday, 8th December, 2019.

Today on social media she encouraged all young girls to see their faces reflect in her face.
