Famous Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has revealed that he begged singer Wande Coal to stay with his Marvin record label.
The founder of Marvin records made this revelation in the second part of his interview with Ebuka Obi Uchendu.
According to him when Wande Coal left the record label he wasn’t happy it. He noted that he came to a realization that artistes in the industry always want to at some point be independent hence allowing Wande Coal to go.
“I believe a lot of people in the industry at the time were saying things to Wande Coal which eventually led to his final decision. I also believed Wande Coal had gotten to the stage where he felt he could take the reins of his career. I did not want him to leave and begged for him to return to Mavin,” he noted.
Obviously Don Jazzy feels that a lot of people said so many things to Wande Coal which led to he leaving Don Jazzy’s record label.
