The flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama, has stated that he will channel more resources into improvig the country’s economy if he is voted into power.
According to him, improving the economy of the country will go a long way to ensure that Ghanaians feel the impact in their pockets.
According to Ghsplash,the former President also disclosed that when he is voted into power he will build a peaceful, secure and robust economy that provides jobs for citizens.
“We will reinforce the independence of state institutions and launch an anti-corruption crusade that fights against all corrupt political appointees and public sector workers”, he promised.
At the inaugration of the Central Regional campaign team in Cape Coast, John Mahama in a speech read by the Deputy National Organizer of the party, Chief Hamilton Biney promised to pay back all locked funds in the collapsed financial institutions.
He also disclosed that the NDC plans on bringing up an entrepreneurial and job programme in the private and public sector which provide a minimum of 250,00 jobs annually.
“We will aim for a million jobs across the country by the end of my term in office in 2024. We will again put Ghanaians back to work to earn a decent living. We will get Ghana to work again, saving it from a dysfunctional Akufo Addo administration that has failed in every respect”, he said.
Meanwhile the former President have accused Nana Akufo-Addo of being the cause of violent acts by final year SHS students. According to him it was caused by the President because he has played politics with the country’s education.
