A report which has been sighted by our outfit and conducted by Star Ghana Foundation indicates that, the increasing number of teenage pregnancies in the country is as a result of the desperation and love for mobile money and indomie. Social media happens to also be a contributive factor.
According to the findings of the research, young girls who are still in their teens give out their bodies to men in exchange for indomie at night and mobile mobile no matter the amount.
The findings of the research were shared during a National Dialogue on Sexual and Gender Based Violence in a COVID-19 Pandemic: Prevalence, Drivers and Respose Measures Held in Tamale.
