A young orphan boy named Lekan Ashamuhas cried out to Nigerians to help him go back to school despite the fact he is currently learning the auto mechanic craft.
A Twitter user named @AnatuGreen first posted the story of the boy saying that he saw the boy at an auto mechanic workshop.
According to Lekan, both of his parents died which was why he had to drop out of school, however he has been praying for a helper because he wants to go back to school.
“I am looking for someone that will help ma, if I see such a person, I will go back to school,
“My boss will allow me go to school from his house, after school I will resume at the workshop.”
The video is currently making rounds on social media. Meanwhile, Green stated that a crowd funding account will be opened for Lekan’s education.
“The boy’s name is Lekan. I met him at a mechanic’s where he is “learning work”.Asked him if he is in school and he said he dropped out after both his parents died. He says he’s willing to go back to school and he has been praying for God to send him a helper.”
“Update: @donate_ng have sent a mail with the requirements for approving the fundraiser.I have to get an admission letter from a school with the school fees indicated. Working on this. If you know a good school around Abule Egba, please let me know ASAP
“I need two more volunteers to monitor the progress of this.I think it will aid transparency. The plan is to raise at least 5 million and put it in an education trust fund account for him. Fund will be utilised gradually over the years. Fees, School tools, A bicycle etc.”
