Abubakar Atiku, the former Vice-president of Nigeria and presidential aspirant is currently under fire for congratulating musician Davido on the realease of his ‘A Better Time’ album.
Atiku took to his Twitter page on Friday to send a congratulatory message to Davido but this didn’t go down well with thousands of Nigerians.
Recall that majority of Nigerians after the #EndSARS protests decided not to vote anyone who’s more that the age of 50 into politics come 2023 neither would they vote for any youth who’s already in the government but has not fulfilled his/her promises.
Well Nigerians have blasted Atiku for sending the congratulatory message, according to them it is just a ploy for him to get himself into the ‘good books’ of Nigerians.
“Congratulations @Davido for ushering in #ABetterTime.”
Some of the responses reads;
@Irunnia wrote; “We still won’t vote for you in 2023. If you like congratulate Michael Jackson.
@Pman_of_Taraba wrote;“Weyrey dey disguise. He thinks we’ll give him a better vote come 2023😹😹”
@ambysmedis wrote; “Atiku hustling for vote and Support everywhere. He knows where they youths are gathered. But we won’t still vote for you sha.”
As of the time of filing this report, Davido is yet to respond to Atiku’s message.
