A Non-Governmental Organization named Centre for Africa Liberation and Socio-Economic Rights has sent a strong warning to Amnesty International and has given the human rights organisatiom seven days to leave Nigeria or face destruction or lyching of their propeeties and staff.
Princess Ajibola, the covener of CASLER sent this threat on Wednesday, November 4 at a press conference. The video was first posted by Sahara Reporters and it is currently making rounds online.
“For Nigeria to rebuild, Amnesty International must be out of the way. CALSER, therefore, gives Amnesty International a seven-day ultimatum to leave Nigeria.
“The NGO’s failure to leave Nigeria will attract civil disobedience at its offices in Abuja and Lagos on a scale that will make the campaign of looting and arson it facilitated appear like child’s play. Its staffers will be treated the same way that innocent policemen and our children lynched by mobs were treated.”
This threat is coming after Amnesty International reported that contrary to reports from the security agencies, 12 people were killed at the Lekki Toll Gate shooting that happened on October 20.
