Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has issued out a piece of advice to colleague women to consider before they agree to settle down with a man.
According to the Minister,Ghanaian women should not marry men who have no toilet facilities in their homes. She made this assertion while addressing journalists at the Ministry of Information on Tuesday 23rd April,2019. She further stated that Sanitation gives one dignity and called for investment in Sanitation.
Cecilia Abena Dapaah further indicated that all houses should make it a priority to invest in repairing their toilet facilities and not to opt for open defecation when their toilet facilities are spoiled.
There have been several calls by the ministry and several environmental institutions for house owners to make it a priority to have a toilet facility in their houses as this will help prevent open defecation.
