There have been multiple casualties as two trucks ram into other vehicles at Anthony, Lagos State on the night of Tuesday, September 1st.
The accident involved two trucks, a loaded tanker and a commercial bus.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu has said that the accident was a a result of reckless driving.
The rescue operation carried out by LASEMA lasted till the early hours of Wednesday, 2nd of September.
Six adults and a child were rescued from the wreckage. However, two women have being reported dead. The survivors who sustained varying degrees of injuries have been taken to the Gbagada General Hospital.
Osayintolu also sympathized with the families of the deceased and advised that motorist should adhere strictly to the stipulated speed limits.
