Recall that we reported on the MP for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Akompreko Agyapong issuing out a strong warning to the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, Asiedu Nketia and a few others on his Net2 TV station.

According to Kennedy Agyapong in the viral video, the NDC and John Mahama are solidly behind the fire outbreaks occurring in our markets across the country. Kennedy Agyapong also disclosed that, between now and Saturday, Mahama and the NDC are planning to burn down the Kumasi and Cape Coast markets.

Kennedy Agyapong used the opportunity to dare John Mahama and the NDC to make a move on any market and he will also make his move by burning the house of Mahama and that of Gbevlo Lartey.

Well, the NDC has finally spoken regarding the utterances of Kennedy Agyapong. According to the NDC, they consider the utterances of Kennedy Agyapong “as a threat to the lives and properties of the above named persons”.

They also added that his action is indeed ” a potential threat to the peace of this country, and, therefore deems it necessary that the necessary investigations are conducted”. They further added;

“We need not remind you that the said Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has a penchant for issuing threats against people and inciting the public against persons with whom he disagrees”.

“We have taken a very serious view of the conduct of the Assin Central MP in the matter and we, therefore, demand that investigations must be launched immediately into the said conduct to allay the apprehensions of the named persons and to maintain the peace and stability of our dear nation”.
