Kumawood movie productions have sunk in the deep sea for a long time now and the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it collapsed under Mahama’s administration.
According to him, the movie business has collapsed forcing most filmmakers to fall on petty trading for survival.
Speaking in an interview at the sidelines of the NPP’s Annual Delegate Conference at the Trade Fair Center he accused the NDC of a deliberate attempt to collapse the Kumawood productions in other to punish people of Ashanti Region which happens to be NPP’s stronghold in elections.
“People in the Ashanti region suffered under NDC so we are working hard to make them happy. So far we have done 80 percent of roads and we are hoping to do more” he stated.
Chairman Wuntumi added that the Kumawood and Creative industry in Ghana today is doing well due to the support that Akufo-Addo’s government is offering them.
