Newspaper vendors under the Abuja Newspapers Vendors Association have taken to the streets of Abuja to demand for justice for one of their colleagues who was gunned down by a police officer attached to the convoy of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Thursday.
Recall that Gbajabiamila had earlier stated that a vendor was hit by a stray bullet fired by one of his security aides in a statement released on Friday, November 20.
The deceased has been identified as in Ifeanyi Elechi, the deceased was part of those saluting the Gbajabiamila when a shot was fired in the air to disperse the crowd.
His colleagues have stormed the Area 2 Roundabouts in Abuja. Reports have it that the protest has cause heavy traffic in the area.
