Nigerian musician, Oluwaseun Anikulapo Kuti has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari for listing investment funds that he introduced for farmers and small business owners in his speech.
According to Kuti, the president doesn’t have to start listing all the ‘tradermonies’ he introduced because Nigeria is not a company and neither are the citizens employees.
The musician, who’s the son of the revolutionary, Fela Kuti stated this on Saturday, October 24 while he was interviewed on Arise News.
“Nigerians are not beggars, we don’t want to be given handouts we want to be giving an equal share of the commonwealth…
” We are tired of being employees, we are reclaiming our citizenship, this is not a company,
” President Buhari’s speech doesn’t project the fact that he was speaking to his citizens, it was as if he was speaking to his employees.”
