Nigerian Students Won’t Write 2020 WAEC-Federal Government Declares

The outbreak of coronavirus has brought a lot things to a halt as well as imposed a lot of restrictions on human activities.

People no longer move freely about for the fear of contracting the novel coronavirus. Following the rapid increase of Codvid-19 in Nigeria, the Nigeria Federal Government has declared that the Senior Secondary school students of 2020 batch won’t sit for forthcoming West African Examination Council(WAEC) examinations.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, who disclosed this to State House Correspondents on Wednesday after the week’s virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, also said there is no date for school resumption yet.

He said he would prefer Nigerian students lose an academic year to expose them to dangers.

Meanwhile in Ghana schools have resumed that has resulted in some students contracting the disease in some major schools.
