PHOTOS: Meet Fatima, The Brave 8-Year Old Girl Who Walks 2km To School Every Day

On our usual social media rounds, we chanced on an inspiring story of an 8-year-old girl from Zamfara State, Nigeria who treks for about 2km before she gets to school.

The little girl identified as Fatima walks 2 kilometers to school every day from her village and battles her journey through corroded bare grounds.

The most inspiring aspect of her story is that Fatima does not fail to go to school unless she is sick.

After her story was shared, Nigeria’s first lady of the state reportedly donated a motorcycle to her to help with transportation.
