The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has made the first day of November in every year as National Youth Day.
This development was disclosed by the Minister of Youth and Sport Development, Sunday Dare.
The minister said that President Buhari gave his approval on Wednesday, September 2. He made this known via his Twitter handle (@sundaydareSD).
“Today, President Buhari in council approved November 1st every year as the National Youth Day to celebrate, draw attention to and find solutions to the issues that affect the youth. Mr. President has again, demonstrated his commitment to supporting youth-focused policies. Thank You.”
