Latest report gathered from the world of soccer indicates that Manchester City’s playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, has endured a fractured eye socket and nose during his side’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the Champions League final.
According to reports, the fracture could keep De Bruyne out of the following month’s rescheduled Euro 2020 games.
The 29-year-old playmaker was stopped by Chelsea’s defender Antonio Rudiger, and it seemed, by all accounts, to be an inconvenient issue as Kyle Walker remained by the player as he received therapy from City’s medical teams.
De Bruyne was captured leaving the football grounds in tears and was taken to clinic as the swelling around his face deteriorated, and affirmed in a Twitter message the seriousness of his physical issue on Sunday morning.
Kevin wrote; “My diagnosis is cute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now. Still disappointed about yesterday obviously but we will be back”.
With the European Championship now not exactly a fortnight away, Kevin’s participation could be questionable.
Belgium’s first round of the competition is against Russia on Saturday, June 12 and guess what, Belgium’s national team manager Roberto Martinez has until June 1, 2021 to select his full squad.
