Reports currently gathered from myjoyonline indicates that a second-year student of Oyoko Methodist Senior High School has collapsed and died in the process whilst writing her end of term examinations. The incident actually happened on Thursday July 30, having doctors pronounce her dead on arrival at the St. Joseph Hospital located in Koforidua.
The deceased who has been identified as 18-year-old Jennifer Doku complained of headache to a teacher on Tuesday and was given some pain killer to that effect. Sources say Doku did not complain of any headache after taking the medication.
Reports has it that Doku collapsed whilst writing her very last paper for the term and was quickly rushed to ST. Joseph Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. It has also been gathered that the Effiduase Police are currenly carrying out an intense investigation in order to ascertain the circumstances surrounding her death.
The headmaster of Oyoko Methodist SHS Mr. Frank Ayiah Inkoom confirmed in an interview with Joy News that the police have so far interviewed 40 students all in the bid to unravel hbow 18-year-old Jennifer Doku collapsed and died. Jennifer’s body has since been deposited at the St, Joseph Hospital awaiting postmortem.
