Starving Animals Set To Be Rescued After Photos of Them Suffering Was Secretly Taken By A Visitor in Nigeria- See Photos.

An unnamed man who visited the zoo for the first time was shocked to his bone marrow when he saw the sorry sate of animals at the Gamji Gate zoo in Kaduna, Nigeria.

According to Daily Mail, the man found a starving lion and a dozen of other animals- hyena, baboon, monekey all looking underfed and malnourished. From the photos currently making rounds online, the lion looks very skinny as aall his bones are very visible.

 The visitor secretly took the photos of the animals and  requested for the help of a animal welfare charity WildatLife.e.V t.

He said;

“The first moment I saw the animal I felt shock,’ the man, who wishes to remain unnamed, told Jam Press. ‘I was so surprised. I felt so nervous and uneasy because it was my first time seeing a lion live.

“Like this is my first time in a zoo. I virtually saw them in movies, news and magazines. Actually, most of the animals in the zoo are not well-fed. They lack proper treatment or let me say malnutrition.”

In response to the ‘cry for help’  the charity sent a medical team was sent to examine the animals and the lion was named Zaki.

As of the time of filing this report the charity is trying to work with the Nigerian Association of Zoological parks to see to it that the Nimal receive the best treatment.
