Supreme court to rule on Amidu’s eligibility as special prosecutor on April 29.

The supreme court on April 29, 2020 will give judgement on the case contesting the eligibility and appointment of Mr Martin Amidu as the special prosecutor in relation with with his age at the time of his appontmen.

Dr Dominic Ayine the plaintiff who is a former deputy attorney general filed a suit atb the supremem court contesting the eligibility of Mr Amidu.

According to him the age of Mr Amidu thus 66 disqualifies him for the position as speacial prosecutor. The supremem court then directed Dr Ayine and the attorney general to file theri legak arguements in May 2019.
