“We Still Talk A Lot” – Luis Suarez Speaks On His Relationship With Lionel Messi Since His Exit From Barcelona.

Uruguayan football star, Luis Suarez has opened up on his relationship with his former Barcelona teammate and friend Lionel Messi.

Recall that Suarez left Barcelona after he was sold to Atletico Madrid beacsue if conflicting issues he had at Camp Nou. Messi also called out the management for letting Suarez go.

In a recent interview with Marca, Suarez has disclosed that he and Messi still maintain a very close relationship despite the fact that they both play for rival La Liga Clubs.

In his words;

“The truth is that we speak a lot, but honestly we talk about our life,” Suarez told Marca when asked about Messi.

“It was recently the birthday of one of my children, also his. We talked about life, the virus, everything, but very little about football, about the goals we miss or about tactical systems. We worry more about how the family is than about what happens in football.”

 “I was sad and hurt by the way I left – I already said it. But when they close a door, five more open to you where they value my work, professionalism and trajectory. I feel proud.

“Where they did not want me, there was another that wanted me. I found happiness and I’m enjoying this moment now.”


Luis Suarez Shuns Juventus, Joins Atletico Madrid For $7 Million

Report gathered from the world of football indicates that Luis Suarez has joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona after 6 good years. According to reports, Atletico Madrid confirmed that they will pay $7 million to sign Luis Suarez.

Luis Suarez was actually linked to Juventus but abandoned the decision because of the lengthy process he had to go through just to acquire the Italian Citizenship.

This is what Barcelona had to say; “FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Luis Suarez. The Madrid club will pay FC Barcelona €6 million in variables”.

Luis Suarez Accused of Cheating In An Exam

Popular Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez has been accused of stealing in an Italian Language exams that would have helped him seal a move from Barcelona to Juventus.

His wife who happens to be an Italian citizen was helping him secure a passport.

“During the investigations, irregularities emerged in the exam taken by Luis Suarez to obtain the Italian citizenship,” a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office of Perugia and the Guardia di Finanza read.

“From the investigative activities it emerged that the topics covered by the exam had been agreed in advance and that the score had been assigned before the exam, and that the candidate had demonstrated only an elementary knowledge of the Italian language.

“Today the financial police are carrying out documentary acquisitions at the University of Perugia aimed at confirming the conduct described and notifying for crimes of disclosure of office secrets, ideological falsehood committed by public officials and more.”

With the move to Juve having seemingly collapsed, Suarez is now being heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, but recent reports have suggested that the transfer could be in jeopardy, with Barca hoping to exact a fee for his services.


Luis Suarez Finally Agrees To Join Juventus After Being Snubbed By New Manager Ronald Koeman

Reports currently gathered from the world of football indicates that Barcelona star, Luis Suarez, has agreed to join Juventus after Barcelona’s new coach Ronald Koeman made it clear to him that he has no plans for him this season.

Reports from Barcelona as at September 6, indicates that Barcelona and Juventus are currently negotiating a fee that will allow him join the old ladies.

It has also been gathered that 33-year-old Suarez has reached a personal agreement which comes with a 3-year contract worth $12 million per season with Juventus. Suarez will also sit in an Italian language exam in the coming days just to get a passport which will allow him make the move to Juventus.

Report also has it that Barcelona wanted to release Suarez but had to change its mind all because it would cost them $ 17 million to terminate his contract and that is something the club is not willing to do as the coronavirus pandemic has hit them hard with their finances.
