The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar lll has called on the government to find a solution to the incessant killings and abductions going on in Northern Nigeria.
According to the Islamic leader, bandits now go from house to house to abduct people. He called on those in the government to act their part by protecting the lives of the citizens.
He made this comment on Thursday, November 26 at the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council’s 4th quarter 2020 meeting in Abuja. Details of his statement was revealed via the official Twitter handle of the Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.
He said;
“We are so insecure in the north. Bandits now go into houses to kidnap.”
“How much onion costs in Nigeria today is an insight into the current economic hardship in the country. “We do not lack recommendations and solutions to our problems. What we lack is a sense of purpose.”
