Timo Werner who happens to be Chelsea’s new signing turned down a chance to take a penalty shootout as the Blues were knocked out of the competition after the game with Tottenham went into penalties following their 1-1 draw. Timo Werner actually scored the first half goal for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup 4th round but guess what, Tottenham’s Erik Lamela’s late strike cancelled out the Blue’s goal leading them into the penalty shootout.
According to reports, Timo Werner made an impression in the game but came down with a cramp getting to the close of the match as to why he rejected to take part in the penalty shootout.
