Sam Nartey George is a Ghanaian politician. He is a member of the National Democratic Congress. In November 2015, he defeated the incumbent E. T. Mensah to represent the party in the 2016 parliamentary elections for Ningo-Prampram constituency.
Sam George, currently the MP for Ningo Prampram, has also expressed his opinion against the legalisation of the LGBT community in the country. According to him, all diplomats in the country pushing for the legalisation should be made to exit the country.
In an Interview with GHOne TV on Thursday February 25, 2021, the MP stated that Ghana has been very tolerant of some high profile foreign officials supporting homosexuality in the country. This is what he had to say;
”We will not allow anybody to bring homosexuality or love with animals into our country and tell us it is a right. It is a mental disorder, our law says it is illegal.”
”I have gone out publicly to demand that the foreign ministry summons and issues either a strong warning or an expulsion notice to the Australian Ambassador, the Danish Ambassador and the Rep of the EU in Ghana because the letters of credence the presented to His Excellency President Akufo-Addo when they were nominated by their respective countries to come and serve in Ghana mandates them to respect the laws of Ghana.”
