President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians who are criticizing his government to be fair with their criticisms.
President Buhari said that his administration struggled to pay debts, invest in road repairs and also restore life back to the railways. He urged critics to consider all these things when they are criticising his government.
He made this call on Thursday, January 14 during a meeting with the representatives of Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission at the Presidential Villa.
In his words;
“Those criticising the administration should be fair in terms of reflecting on where we were before we came, where we are now and what resources are available to us and what we have done with the limited resources.
“We had to struggle paying debts, investing in road repairs and rebuilding, to revamp the rail and try to get power. This is what I hope the elite when they want to criticise will use to compare notes.”
Meanwhile, Femi Adeshina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity shared photos of the meeting on his official Facebook page.
