We Will Bury Rawlings In Anlo-Family of Late President Insists

The family of the late President John Jerry Rawlings are insisting on burying the late President by themselves and not by the state.

A letter signed by the Secretary, Napoloen Kwame Agbotui and Chairman Godson Agbotui to the Agbotui, Tamakloe and allied families indicates that an initial arrangement which was made to perform the traditional rites for the late President on 22nd and 23rd has been cancelled and rescheduled for 29th and 30th January.

The letter further indicated that a meeting held on 17th January 2020 at Awadada’s palace in Anloga. The family arrived at a conclusion that the views expressed by their sisters and brothers on the Central Planning Committee expressed their own views with regards to where the late President should be buried which doesn’t reflect the view of the family in general.

In the letter the family stressed that they will like to have in possession the mortal remains of the late President instead of he being buried at the 37 Military cemetery. The letter was addressed to the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo.
