The Nigerian Army has denied reports that were out to get DJ Switch, real name Obianuju Catherine Udeh who streamed on Instagram Live the scene from the Lekki Toll Gate shooting on October 20.
Recall that DJ Switch stated that she was getting threats to her life and she had to flee out of the country. Well, the Nigerian Army while testifying before the Lagos State Judicial Panel on Saturday, November 14 has denied searching for Switch.
According to the Commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmed Taiwo, the Nigerian Army has ‘a bigger fish to fry’.
“Some people take delight in misrepresenting Nigeria and particularly the Nigerian Army to the international community and our fellow Nigerians. This, I believe is done for pecuniary gains.
“Quite recently, a Nigerian, Catherine Udeh, also known as DJ Switch, claimed the Nigerian Army was looking for her. There is nothing further than the truth.
“My Lord, we have bigger fish to fry. That is, how to stabilize Lagos.”
This statement has sparked conversations online. Many Nigerians have come out to air their opinion.
