Former Presidential aide, Reno Bemigho Omokri has questioned the perceived attitude President Muhammadu Buhari has towards the people from the South-eastern part of Nigeria- the Igbo Tribe.
Omokri has reacted to the list of the newly appointed service chiefs which doesn’t include any Igbo man. He listed some areas of specialization in which no Igbo is heading under the Buhari-led government.
The author who also refers to himself as “Buhari’s Tormentor’ has said that do the government expect the Igbos to be grateful for putting an Igbo man as the Personal Assistant to the Presidency in photography.
He wrote;
“What did Igbo people do to #Buhari?
* No Igbo heading any of the 3 arms of government
* No Igbo heading any of the 3 military branches
* No Igbo in the National Security Council
* No Igbo heading any of the intelligence agencies
* No Igbo heading any security or paramilitary agency
“Are Igbo people supposed to be grateful because Buhari made an Igbo his Personal Assistant on photography? Is taking photographs the only thing the Igbo are good for in Buhari’s government?”
Meanwhile some Nigerians have reacted to the question thrown, many have faulted the government and most Igbos have said that “they don’t need the appointments”
