Modupe Odele, ‘Moe’ a lawyer and co-convener of the Feminist Coalition has said that the Nigerian Immigration Service have refused to release her passport that was earlier seized.
Recall that Pinaxonline.com had earlier published a news story stating that Now was prevented from travelling to Maldives for her birthday and her passport was seized.
Moe was a frontliner during the #EndSARS campaign and she defended protesters whi were arrested by the security agencies without caooe ting any payment.
According to Moe, she went back to collect her passport on Tuesday, November 3 but her request was decline because she was ‘still under investigation’. She revealed this via her Twitter account.
“Hello people, I went to retrieve my passport today but was told this: “We cannot release your passport because you are still under investigation”.
As of now, I’m not aware of any charges against me or what I am under investigation for.”
It is worthy to note that the Ministry of Interior which oversees the Nigerian Immigration Service had earlier debunked the rumours that #EndSARS frontliners have been placed on a ‘no-fly list’- a list that restricts people from travelling out of the country.
